Dr. Quianna Glapion concerned herself with the latter part of Baldwin’s utterance as her journey towards achieving great things began in New Orleans, Louisiana, her hometown. She is a product of the excellent private schools of New Orleans, Louisiana, which include Xavier University Preparatory and Loyola University New Orleans. Her reach for education and excellence was further expanded by way of obtaining a Master’s and Doctoral degree in English specializing in Forensic Linguistics. Dr. Q., as she is affectionately called by her peers, is also a member of the International Association of Forensic Linguistics, the Black Doctoral Network, the Lambda Iota Tau Honor Society, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She currently serves as Professor of African-American Literature, World Literature, and Composition in Houston, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, watching football, and kickboxing.
